Chelsea convincing 4-1 win at home Burnley. The Blues scored four goals after falling behind first.
Burnley vs Chelsea is presented at Turf Moor in the follow-up match Premier League, Saturday (7/10). The Blues conceded first in the 14th minute from Wilson Odobert’s goal.
They were able to equalize before halftime thanks to an own goal from Ameen Al Dakhil. After the break, Chelsea was unstoppable.
Mauricio Pochettino’s troops scored three goals through a Cole Palmer penalty (50th minute), a goal from Raheem Sterling (65′), and a goal from Nicolas Jackson (74′). The Blue closed the 90 minutes with a 4-1 win.
This result brought Chelsea up to 10th with 11 points. Meanwhile, Burnley is sinking further down in 18th place with just four points.

The Course of the Match
The Blues were in control at the start of the match. Raheem Sterling had a chance in the 14th minute. He stabbed from the left side before opening fire. However, his efforts were still wide.
Gol!!! Burnley, who didn’t control much of the ball, was actually able to steal a goal in the 15th minute. They built attacks well from behind. Lyle Foster moves from right side to center. He gave the ball which was completed as a goal by Wilson Odobert.
Burnley dropped their rhythm after taking the lead. Meanwhile, Chelsea also lacked creativity and had difficulty creating opportunities when they were behind.
Stuck, Sterling tried again through individual action. The shot was from a narrow angle but was still saved by James Trafford.
Gol!!! Sterling’s stab finally resulted in a goal. His pass from the left hit Ameen Al Dakhil until the ball turned into his own net in the 42nd minute.
The score was 1-1 ending the first half.
Five minutes into the second half, Chelsea were awarded a penalty. The referee pointed to the spot after Sterling was brought down by Vitinho.

Burnley, who was now left behind, tried to equalize through Odobert’s long-range shot. His attempt was denied by Robert Sanchez.
Enzo Fernandez had a chance. However, his shot was too weak to be easily saved by Trafford.
Goal!!! Chelsea pulled away in the 65th minute. Through a quick attack, Conor Gallagher passed the ball to Sterling. Sterling finally got his name on the scoreboard with a hard kick from inside the penalty box.
Gol!!! The visitors became increasingly unstoppable by scoring the fourth goal in the 75th minute. Palmer gave the ball to Jackson who was standing in front of the goal. Jackson calmly controlled the ball before turning around and shooting a goal.
No additional goals were scored in the remainder of the match. Chelsea won convincingly 4-1.
