Chelsea’s Consecutive Defeats in Premier League: Everton vs Chelsea Match Recap

Chelsea suffered consecutive defeats in Premier League. After losing to Manchester United, Chelsea this time collapsed at headquarters Everton with a score of 0-2.

Everton opened the scoring in the 54th minute through Abdoulaye Doucoure. Lewis Dobbin’s goal in injury time then sealed Everton’s victory.

This was Chelsea’s second defeat in a row in the Premier League after last week’s defeat at Old Trafford. Chelsea dropped to 12th place Premier League standings with 19 points.

Meanwhile, Everton recorded three consecutive wins in the Premier League. The Toffees have now collected 13 points in 17th place.

Chelsea spread threats in the fourth minute. Enzo Fernandez received a pass from Mykhailo Mudryk and fired a first-time shot. Jordan Pickford can still brush it off.

Chelsea again created opportunities. Cole Palmer fired a curling shot which aimed at the top corner of the goal. However, Pickford could anticipate it.

Chelsea continues to apply pressure. Mudryk fired a pass towards the front of goal, but the ball was cut off by Jarrad Branthwaite.

Goal! Everton broke the deadlock in the 54th minute. Abdoulaye Doucoure scored through Robert Sanchez’s goal to put the hosts 1-0 up.

Starting from a counter-attack, McNeil passed a through ball to Dominic Calvert-Lewin. Calvert-Lewin’s attempt was blocked by Sanchez who came out of his nest. The wild ball was then struck by Doucoure.

Chelsea got a free kick in front of the Everton penalty box. Palmer’s executed ball was still heading straight for Pickford.

Everton doubled their lead in injury time, precisely in the 90+2 minute. Lewis Dobbin, who recently came on to replace Harrison, listed his name on the scoreboard.

This goal came from a corner kick which was cleared by Petrovic. The ball was immediately hit by Dobbin.
