Chukwuemeka, by which Chelsea paid $26 million to Aston Villawas injured late in the first half, after scoring the equalizer against West Ham.
The player left the stadium on crutches, but the injury was not as serious as might have been expected and after undergoing knee surgery he will be out for up to six weeks.
