The British government has granted a license to Chelsea for the sale of tickets in local and international competitions.

This license granted by the English government, was updated last Wednesday, March 23 where it clearly explains that the sports entity may sell tickets for competitions: Champions League, English Cup and Women’s Super League. However, it is determined that income cannot go directly to the club. If this rule is not complied with, new sanctions will be imposed.
The “Blue” will be able to sell tickets for Premier matches, but only for meetings where they go to visit. What’s more, will have the opportunity to sell tickets to their home gamesbut only to the visiting fans.

The British Minister for Sport, Nigel Huddleston, thanked Chelsea fans for “their patience” during this process. «We were committed to the football authorities to make this possible“, he told the media.
Government confirm they have amended licence to allow Chelsea fans to buy tickets. Sports Minister Nigel Huddleston said: “The Govtt has made alterations to the licence to Chelsea FC so that fans will be able to access tickets to away matches, cup games and women’s fixtures.”

“Since Roman Abramovich was added to the UK sanctions list for his ties to (Russian President) Vladimir Putin, we have worked hard to ensure that the club can continue to play football and ensure that the sanctions regime continues to be applied,” he added.
