David Alaba may be released in the summer and there are two teams that will be pushing hard for his services, they are Real Madrid and Chelsea
Chelsea are targeting Austrian defender David Alaba, who can leave Bayern with the release letter at the end of the season, according to information from the German magazine “Sports picture“.
The magazine assures that the negotiations between Real Madrid and Alaba’s representatives are not as advanced as previously believed and that the player is willing to consider better offers than those of the white team.
Alaba’s renewal by Bayern was thwarted by the financial claims of the player and his agent, the Israeli Pni Zahavi.
As alternatives to Alaba, Chelsea also has Frenchman Dayot Upamecano, currently at RB Leipzig and wanted by Bayern, and German Niklas Süle, a Bayern player, on the list.
In the case of Upamecano, according to the magazine, Bayern has an advantage over Chelsea.
Süle has a contract with Bayern until 2022 and Bayern is willing to listen to offers if an agreement for the renewal is not reached.
Currently Süle is not in the starting team since the two usual centrals are Alaba and Jerome Boateng but both end their contract.
While Alaba’s departure seems like a fact, Boateng’s case is not entirely clear.
