After a great 2020 season and a promising start in the current Premier League, Frank Lampard’s Chelsea has deflated and is positioned ninth in the standings with 26 points scored in 17 games.
Along with the bad sporting results, there is a considerable improvement in the squad for this season, which is why it has been speculated that Lampard will continue at the helm of the blue team.
The current situation has prompted Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich to consider the return of former blue coach Avram Grant with whom the English club reached its first Champions League final in 2008 to support Lampard and his coaching staff.
Interestingly, a couple of weeks ago, Grant supported Lampard through his social networks with whom he coincided at Stamford Bridge in his time as a player, to indicate to Abramovich to give more time to the English coach’s project.
