Chelsea completes his journey in Group E Champions League with a draw. The Blues played 1-1 with Krasnodar.
Chelsea have confirmed qualification for the last 16 of the Champions League since the fourth matchday. The status of group winners was then obtained on the fifth matchday after defeating Sevilla.
On the sixth matchday against Krasnodar at Stamford Bridge, Wednesday (9/12/2020) in the morning WIB, Chelsea were looking for nothing else in terms of match results.
Frank Lampard’s team fell behind Krasnodar through Remy Cabella’s goal in the 24th minute. Chelsea just replied in the 28th minute with a penalty. Score 1-1 also lasted until the game was complete.
In a different place, Sevilla beat Rennes 3-1 at Roazhon Park. Jules Kounde and Youssef En-Nesyri’s goals gave Sevilla a 2-0 lead in the first half.
Sevilla took a 3-0 lead in the 81st minute through Youssef En-Nesyri’s second. Rennes minimized the defeat through Georginio Rutter’s penalty in the 86th minute.
Chelsea are top of the standings with 14 points. Sevilla finished runners-up after collecting 13 points.
Krasnodari is third with five points and is entitled to the Europa League. Rennes ended the trip in Europe with a collection of one point.
