Unhappy with his playing time at Chelsea (21 games and 4 goals in the Premier League in 2021-2022), striker Timo Werner (26) said he could be happier elsewhere. The statement was relayed to his manager Thomas Tuchel who did not appreciate it at all.
“I’m surprised, reacted the Blues coach. As a young player, I would be very happy to have a contract at Chelsea. I would be one of the happiest people on the planet. Show quality, win and defend your place. I would be one of the happiest people if I had a contract at Chelsea. If he said that, I don’t understand.”
An explanation is needed between the two Germans.
