Chelsea are said to be under increasing pressure from Antonio Rudiger’s entourage, with a contractual deadlock threatening to run into the January transfer window. Real Madrid are believed to be the player’s preferred destination, but with salary demands wreaking havoc, it remains to be seen who will spit the money first, or whether Rudiger himself will have to compromise.

Rudiger is just one of the center-backs making Chelsea sweat, with Andreas Christensen and Thiago Silva also out of contract at the end of the season.
But the Dane and Brazilian are said to be keen to continue west London, while Rudiger’s future is less certain.
In light of the player’s superb performances under Thomas Tuchel this season, a number of heavyweights are believed to be considering a decision before the transfer window opens in January.
Real Madrid are in the game, and with such an alluring move potentially on the table, the pressure could be about to ramp up for the Blues.

According to El Español, the Rudiger camp is using the looming January window and all the risks that come with it to its advantage.
Knowing that foreign clubs will be free to negotiate pre-contractual deals with the player on January 1, Chelsea may soon be forced to decide one way or another.
And his agent is supposed to put pressure on Chelsea to give in to his demands on that basis.
Sports picture claim his wage demands range between £ 230,000 per week and £ 290,000 per week, a figure which would place him among the Blues’ top earners.

They also claim that Madrid would be Rudiger’s favorite destination, with Carlo Ancelotti’s side doing well in La Liga this campaign.
Other giants like Bayern Munich and PSG have also been mentioned, so Tuchel and transfer chief Marina Granovskaia could object if the defender’s heart is already ready to move away.
Premier League legend Rio Ferdinand has urged the 28-year-old to stay put, with one exception.
“Tuchel came in and changed the fortunes of all of these players,” he told BT Sport.

“They won the Champions League immediately and they’re great.
“As a player, do you risk changing that, do you risk a drop in form and performance and do you risk going elsewhere?
“I only see Bayern Munich as being at the same level. I think Bayern Munich are above Chelsea. “
