PM Sarr, J Maddison, Richarlison, R Bentancur and Y Bissouma were brought into the game to try and make an impact on the game. However, the Chelsea defense held firm and in the 67th minute M. van de Ven received a yellow card for rough play. In the 72nd minute, Chelsea extended their lead with a goal from N. Jackson, giving Tottenham a 2-0 lead.
The visitors continued to struggle, making further changes with B. Johnson, B. Gil and Emerson Royal coming on in the final minutes of the match. However, Chelsea’s solid performance proved too much for Tottenham and they earned a deserved victory. In the last minutes of the match, both teams made additional substitutions: M. Mudrik and A. Gilchrist came on for Chelsea, and J. Tauriainen replaced N. Jackson. Tottenham also made a final change, bringing on G. Lo Celso for Emerson Royal. Despite their best efforts, Tottenham were unable to break through the Chelsea defense and the match ended 2-0 to the home team. Overall, it was a thrilling game and a competitive match between Chelsea and Tottenham, which Chelsea won in front of their passionate fans at Stamford Bridge.
