Absent from the group for the semi-final against Fleury, Ada Hegerberg is closer than ever to a return. The Norwegian striker will be available for OL – Chelsea on Wednesday (6:45 p.m.).
Friday, there was not only frustration at Parc OL. If Laurent’s men Blanc disappointed once again against the FC Nantes (1-1), Sonia’s players Bompastor had done the work at the end of the afternoon. As a curtain raiser to the Ligue 1 match, OL got the better of Fleury (2-0) to qualify for the 14th Coupe de France final in the history of Les Fenottes. A contract fulfilled for the Lyonnaises who are now waiting to know their opponent for the trophy (PSG or Evian Thonon Grand Geneva). They are above all already turned towards the Champions League and the reception of Chelsea Wednesday (6:45 p.m.) in the same setting that is Parc OL.
As good news never comes alone, Sonia Bompastor announced what everyone had been hoping for for weeks. After resuming individualized then collective training, Ada Hegerberg will return to the field. The OL coach has confirmed the presence of the Norwegian for the quarter-final first leg. “She was still a bit tight to be in the squad this (Friday) night. She will be there on Wednesday in the squad of 23 players for the match against Chelsea. If she has to come on, I think she is ready for it. We just have to see how long she can play, depending on the scenario of the game.”
If she is not yet fully 100%, the simple return of Hegerberg should have an impact on the Londoners as well as on her own teammates.
