Chelsea are looking for Florian Wirtz and Rayan Cherki for their new project to incorporate them before next season.

Cherki is currently at Lyon and for him this would mean reaching the elite, having done so well in the Under-21s for France this summer. The attacker is a huge talent and is considered the next big thing in the Ligue 1 squad.

Meanwhile, Wirtz is a superstar in the making at Bayer Leverkusen. The German returned from a lengthy injury last season and has been making waves in the Bundesliga.

Colwill likes Liverpool

It comes on the heels of the story of Chelsea centre-back Levi Colwill becoming a possible summer transfer target for Liverpool.

Colwill, who spent last season on loan at Brighton, was reportedly offered a new contract by the Blues, but the 20-year-old has since been linked with several other Premier League clubs, including Tottenham.

Born in Southampton, Colwill rose through the youth ranks at Chelsea but never played in the first team; He made 17 Premier League appearances for Brighton last term, having been loaned out to Championship Huddersfield Town in 2021/22.

That’s according to the Liverpool Echo, which says Liverpool are one of the Blues’ domestic rivals interested in Colwill, who has represented England up to U21 level and is currently part of the Young Lions squad in the European Under-U21 Championship. 21 in progress.

Our internal expected transfer value (xTV) model currently rates Colwill at €14.5m (£12.4m) and if he were to go for that kind of fee, he could turn out to be a real bargain within some years.

That seems extremely unlikely, however: earlier this month, Chelsea turned down a £40 offer from Brighton to make the defender’s loan switch permanent.
