Callum Hudson-Odoi has set himself an ambitious goal of contributing one goal in every game he plays for Chelsea.
Hudson-Odoi he has been on the brink of the first team since he made his senior debut for the club in 2017. He has already played 86 senior league appearances.
His performance in those games has been impressive for a gamer who only turned 20 in November. So far, Hudson-Odoi has 13 goals and 15 assists for Chelsea.
However, the wide man wants to improve those numbers further. Now he has outlined his goals to become a player that opponents fear.
Asked by Chelsea’s official website about his record of scoring 31 goals in 55 starts at the academy level, he said he wants to replicate similar numbers in the first team.
“In the academy days, when you see numbers like that, you’re like ‘wow’ and you want to try to replicate that in the first team as well,” he said. “But obviously it’s a much tougher league and it’s difficult to score goals.
“You want to be that player that every team fears and where you have a goal to get a goal or an assist for the team in every game you play, to help the team as much as possible, because that contributes to the end of the game. Your scoring or helping helps the team win, so I see it that way.
“If I can get a goal in one game and then maybe in the next game I get an assist and in the next game a goal again, it is useful for all aspects. I want to be one of those players that you know is regularly on the roster «.

Hudson-Odoi describes the role reversal
Since the appointment of Thomas TuchelHudson-Odoi has slightly adapted her role for Chelsea. In recent weeks, he has presented himself as a winger rather than a more offensive winger.
The England international is happy to take up the challenge.
“Obviously it was a different role for me and something new that I hadn’t experienced before,” she said of her new role. But I saw it as a challenge.
“It is something that I know I am capable of. If it’s offensively, I can use my skills to do it in the future, but also defensively now I have to be more aware because I’m not playing as a winger.
“I’m playing winger, so I have to recover a lot more. It has definitely been a good experience for me to learn a new position also under the managerial command and I am doing well.
“I actually enjoy playing there, it’s not a bad thing for me. I really enjoy it, so I hope I can continue to improve and hope to continue to do well there.
