The Chelsea goalkeeper delivered his ambitions with Senegal and praised Sadio Mané as well as Karim Benzema.
Author of a very good season and impressive since his arrival at Chelsea two years ago, Edouard Mendy was back in France this week to attend the Bruno Martini Trophies rewarding the best goalkeepers playing in France (L1, L2, D1 etc) and was able to receive the honorary prize from the hands of the jury, made up of technicians from the station. Edouard Mendy then gave an interview to FootMercato in which he notably mentioned the position of goalkeeper.

“As a goalkeeper, it has a special flavor because you are recognized by your peers. It shows that people who live like you, who feel football like you on a daily basis, recognize you. That, I think there is no better distinction, the fact of being validated, that the work and your performances are validated by goalkeeper coaches who have been in the game for twenty years and who have seen very great past guardians. To be one of those, who are cited among the best, there is no better distinction”analyzed Edouard Mendy.
