His name was added Thursday to the “blacklist” of personalities sanctioned by the British authorities, following the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The two men made their fortunes in the oil industry and its export in the mid-1990s. If Shvidler, a big football fan, had no executive function with the Blues, he kept his friend’s ear owner and was regularly seen in the presidential box at Stamford Bridge in his company.

He acquired the Château Thénac wine estate in 2001
Eugene Shvidler’s assets are valued at 1.5 billion euros. And in its thick portfolio of assets, there is also the Château Thénac wine estate, located near Bergerac (Dordogne) and acquired in 2001.

According to The Guardian, Shvidler had already resigned (March 10) from the Moscow management of Millhouse LLC, the holding company that oversees Abramovich’s investments. He also left his post at the steel group Evraz, of which Abramovich is one of the main shareholders.
