According to the source, after undergoing additional examination, Lavia was found to have ligament damage. As such, Chelsea bosses have serious concerns that the 19-year-old Belgian’s debut will be delayed until at least the end of October.

Before the next international break at the beginning of October, Chelsea will play against Bournemouth, Aston Villa, Fulham, Burnley in the Premier League and Brighton in the League Cup.

Let us remind you that in the summer Romeo Lavia moved to Chelsea for £58 million.
