Chelsea make new proposal to Napoli

In less than a month, the summer transfer window will be over, but many players can still change clubs. And some Red Devils are among them. Romelu Lukaku, for example, still does not know which team he will play for this season.

Officially, Lukaku is still owned by Chelsea. The Blues paid a small fee to bring the striker back to London in the summer of 2021. But for various reasons, his second spell at Stamford Bridge was disappointing. After just one year, he was therefore loaned back to Inter.

After failing to reach an agreement to extend his stay in Milan last summer, Lukaku once again had to look elsewhere for a solution. And it was in Serie A that he found it. This time, he was loaned to AS Roma. The striker had a more than decent season there and was often a starter.

New transfer in progress

A longer stay in the capital seems to be out of the question, however. The club having definitely missed out on its ticket to the Champions League, the financial means are too limited for a permanent transfer. In principle, the striker will therefore return to Chelsea, but it is no longer a secret that the club wants to get rid of him permanently.

There is no shortage of interest either. Aston Villa, for example, are also interested. The Premier League revelation would be ready to invest in his arrival, but Lukaku has kindly thanked this interest. Indeed, the Red Devil has set his sights on SSC Napoli.

Exchange currency with Osimhen

This interest is also mutual, coach Antonio Conte would like to work with him again. But the Neapolitans are currently unable to meet the financial conditions. According to Il Mattino, Chelsea have put in place a new construction to close the deal. The central element is Victor Osimhen.

The Nigerian striker is expected to join Stamford Bridge. In exchange, Lukaku will go the other way, as will midfielder Cesare Casadei. In addition, Napoli would receive a transfer fee of €45 million and some bonuses. A nice package, but which may not be enough to convince the Italians.
