Chelsea have signed midfielder Andrey Santos for another season. The Brazilian has already left the blue team in the United States and will play in Strasbourg next season. The 20-year-old player, who has been seen in the lower categories of Vasco, is expected to join the French club soon.
It should be noted that this youngster played in the last half of the 2023/24 season in the French team, whose main shareholder is the American businessman Todd Bohly, owner of Chelsea. There he participated in 11 matches and scored one goal, to the great joy of the coaching staff.
But Andrey started pre-season at Chelsea, travelled to the United States and played two friendlies. After all, he played in the second half of the 2-2 draw against Wrexham and minutes later in the 4-1 defeat to Celtic.
Meanwhile, striker Angelo, who was also on loan at Strasbourg last season, is continuing with the English national team on their trip to North America.
Chelsea signed the player in early 2023 with a contract until 2030, but he has never played for the club. That’s because he played for Vasco for another six months and then played for Nottingham Forest, also in England.
