Chelsea investigate Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic

Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing Juventus striker Dušan Vlahovic.

The 22-year-old Serbian international is on Chelsea’s radar following the injury to Armando Broja. The talented young Chelsea striker has been ruled out for the rest of the season with ligament injury.

It looks like Chelsea are looking to bring in attacking reinforcements next month, and they’ve already made inquiries about Vlahovi.

Ben Jacobs said: It’s actually Chelsea, from a Premier League perspective, who are doing the consultancy at the moment, and we know they need a striker too.

“But I think everyone chasing Vlahovic first needs to figure out if January is possible, and then if it’s not, what should they do to get him to move to the Premier League in January? And what can clubs learn from Arsenal’s situation?

“And also, what is your injury situation? Because right now, if you take him in January, he has a groin problem that’s still under investigation. But Chelsea are looking a little more seriously at him and obviously at the other forwards because of the Armando Broja situation.”

The former Fiorentina forward joined Juventus at the start of the year for a fee of around £62.8m but has been unable to return to his best form with the Italian giants.

The player has been linked with a move from Turin in recent months, and it will be interesting to see if Juventus are willing to exploit the player in January.

The Italian side will be looking to recoup most of what they paid for the Serbian international if Chelsea call in January, and it will be interesting to see if the Blues are willing to pay a hefty fee for Vlahovi.

The 22-year-old was regarded as one of the most promising young forwards in Europe before joining Juventus, and has the potential to become a star player for Chelsea.

Vlahovic has the physical and technical attributes to succeed in English football and Graham Potter could help him reach his potential at Stamford Bridge.

Despite not being at his best this season, the Serbian has managed nine goals in all competitions and could certainly be an improvement on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang during the second half of the season.
