Chelsea have signed Portuguese youth Jao Felix from Atletico Madrid. The agreement provides for a six-month loan. Felix’s contract with Atletico Madrid expires in 2027 before moving to Chelsea. Javo Felix, who joined Atletico Madrid from Benfica for a dream fee in 2019, was not suited to the style of play in Spain. Felix, who was gradually removed from Simeone’s squad, was only in the first eleven for seven games this time. Javo Félix will return to Atletico Madrid at the end of the season as per his current contract. Chelsea beat English clubs Manchester United and Arsenal to acquire Felix. Chelsea’s forward line, which includes Raheem Sterling and Aubameyang, managed to score just 20 goals in 17 games this time around.
