Munich –
Thomas Tuchel still hurt by his dismissal at Chelsea. Tuchel revealed he was fired in a meeting that lasted very briefly.
The German manager should leave Stamford Bridge after only the first seven games of 2022/2023. At that time Chelsea was indeed dim because they had only won three times and had lost three times.
Tuchel’s dismissal was arguably controversial. Apart from being considered rushed, Tuchel has also led to great success for the Blues by winning the Champions League, European Super Cup and Club World Cup.
The 49-year-old manager learned his fate after meeting new Chelsea owner Todd Boehly at a meeting in the morning. Tuchel was sacked in the encounter for just three to five minutes.
“It was a shock. I felt it, it felt strange when I was driving to the training ground. The meeting we had was unusual, and it was surprisingly short. It was 8am or something like that, and only lasted three to five minutes. I also not in a good mood to talk for long,” Tuchel was quoted as saying Daily Mail.
“The decision has been made, and frankly, it was a shock for all of us. We had the feeling that we were in the right position at the right time to achieve big things and we wanted to stay longer, it’s as simple as that,” continued the current coach craftsman Bayern Munich That.
“We have an important, very important relationship between the staff. We still are. How long will it take to get over it? It still hurts not to see these people every day. I love this job, I have the passion.
“We built a great bond because of circumstances. We started with Covid and Brexit, then a change of ownership. So we were a really strong group on the training ground and it wasn’t really up to me to make that decision. I’m no longer part of it. this group, a group that feels like a family.” Tuchel add.
