After taking over the new ownership consortium, Chelsea FC are reorganizing on multiple levels. Oliver Mintzlaff is one of the people the blues have traded with.
Graham Potter is already new on the bridge, the coach recently replaced the fired Thomas Tuchel. Christoph Freund, who is about to reach an agreement with Chelsea, is the preferred candidate for the position of head of sport.
Freund would have arrived in West London from RB Salzburg. In the course of the forced upheaval, the Blues allegedly targeted another manager of the Red Bull empire.
The Athletic portal reports a specific interest in Oliver Mintzlaff. The managing director and CEO of RB Leipzig is one of the CEO candidates he has already been spoken to.

The exchange is said to have cooled down in the meantime. In the summer, the interested parties to each other negotiated the personal data of Timo Werner and Josko Gvardiol. It was decided that the contacts between Chelsea and Mintzlaff would be suspended until the end of the summer transfer window.
A few days have passed since then and it was mutually agreed not to hold further talks about a possible collaboration.
