According to information from the Sport newspaper, Chelsea have set their sights on Alejandro Balde to strengthen their left-back next season. The FC Barcelona youngster is said to have been in the sights of the London club for a long time due to his impressive breakthrough and his ability to fit perfectly with their recent transfer policy.

Chelsea are reportedly relying on Balde’s contract situation to try to sign him. His contract with FC Barcelona expires in the summer of 2024 and the Catalan club intend to renew it to continue his career with the Blaugranas. However, the player’s agent, Jorge Mendes, would like to be offered a million dollar deal to continue with Barcelona otherwise he will look for new destinations this summer.
