Chelsea want to snatch Spalletti from Napoli
Luciano Spalletti could join Chelsea next season. According to English tabloids, the Napoli manager is on the list of candidates for the bench of the Blues, who have just exonerated Graham Potter due to the team’s disappointing performance in the league.
The 329 million euros invested during the winter transfer market were not enough to raise the bar for the Londoners, who slipped to eleventh place in the Premier League.
The owners of Chelsea want a big name on the bench and in addition to the Tuscan coach, creator of the super Napoli which dominates Serie A, there are Mauricio Pochettino and Julian Nagelsmann, currently without a team, Luis Enrique, looking for a place after his farewell to the Spanish selection, and Oliver Glasner, today at Eintracht Frankfurt.
Spalletti could become the seventh Italian manager in Chelsea history, after Vialli, Ranieri, Ancelotti, Di Matteo, Conte and Sarri.
