Chelsea don’t forget Koundé – Crumpe

The Chelsea Blues have not yet put a cross on the recruitment of French back Jules Koundé.

British daily London Evening Standard just revealed Chelsea thought they would make a deal for Koundé in the final days of the transfer window, but saw their hopes come to an end when Seville insisted that the release clause of its French member be paid. A clause which is of the order of 80M €.

Tuchel wants a defender in priority

The reigning European champions were unwilling to make the financial effort this summer, but they remain interested in the former Sevillian and an agreement could be found with the Andalusians at the next transfer window.

An additional option in central defense is seen as the next priority for manager Thomas Tuchel after having secured the recruitment of a great striker during the transfer window, in the person of Romelu Lukaku. Tuchel is thinking of renewing his rearguard since Thiago Silva (36), at the end of his contract next summer, and Cesar Azpilicueta (32) no longer embody the future.
