Chelsea decided the fate of Graham Potter

Earlier in September last year, Chelsea dismissed Thomas Tuchel after 20 months of association and appointed the former Brighton & Hove Albion manager as their new head coach. Potterwho was reportedly the first choice for the job, has signed a five-year contract with the west London club.

Since then, Potter has managed 26 matches for the Stamford Bridge club, with just nine wins, seven draws and ten defeats. The club are currently going through a disappointing period in the Premier League and sit in 10th place with 31 points.

According to the journalist Matt Law you Telegraph, the Chelsea board still back Potter at the helm of their club despite being in below-average form. The biggest immediate challenge for the 47-year-old tactician is to try to appease the fans with a rapid increase in results and performance.

The Blues have already been knocked out of the FA Cup and EFL Cup, and have already lost 1-0 to Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 first leg. The club are currently 10 points behind fourth-placed Newcastle United in the Premier League table.
