Chelsea back to final Club World Cup after 10 years. This time, The Blues don’t want to fail again.
Chelsea goes to the final Club World Cup 2021 after getting rid of the Asian Champions League champion, Al Hilal, in the semifinals. The Blues 1-0 win over the Saudi Arabian club thanks to a single goal by Romelu Lukaku.
Thomas Tuchel’s squad will next face representatives of Brazil, palm trees, in the Club World Cup final. Palmeiras, who won the Copa Libertadores, got rid of Al Ahly in the semifinals.
This will be the first meeting between Chelsea and Palmeiras. However, Chelsea has experience facing Brazilian clubs in the Club World Cup final.
That happened when Chelsea faced Corinthians in the 2012 Club World Cup final. Unfortunately, the match ended sadly for Chelsea who had to admit Corinthians’ superiority with a score of 0-1.
Now Chelsea has the opportunity to win the title that had failed to be won 10 years ago when they faced Palmeiras in the Club World Cup final, Saturday (12/2/2022) night WIB, at the Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi. Chelsea will also be more motivated because they have never won this competition.
