However, the group led by the Portuguese Abel Ferreira recovered quickly and took advantage of a child penalty committed by Thiago Silva with 19 minutes of the complement.

From there, Chelsea only had the ball, although without damage to the Brazilian bottom, which took all the corners that rained down in the last minutes of regular time.

Palmeiras felt tired and in the first overtime he cornered himself near the Weverton goal, which led Chelsea to take the lead and have clear options, although the tie remained.

The award for Chelsea came near the end of the second extra period. when a handball by Luan, reviewed by the VAR, led to the penalty that gave him the victory after the execution of Kai Havertz -same author of the Champions League title goal-.

At the end, Luan was expelled for a foul on Havertz, who was heading for the third.
