Inter will push back Leeds to land De Paul

Internazionale is working with Udinese to try to find a way to make a deal for Rodrigo de Paul in January, according to Calciomercato.

The Udinese midfielder has been heavily linked with Leeds United this summer and has been linked with the Yorkshire club again as the January transfer window draws closer.

However, Inter are hoping they can guarantee the player with an 18-month loan. The Italians hope to be able to bring him to a short-term move and insert a number of performance clauses in connection with a longer move.

Juventus are also said to be interested. De Paul was valued at £ 36million this summer, but Udinese appears to have lowered its valuation to £ 31.5million.

Tarkowski faces Premier League clubs

West Ham United and Leicester City lead a squad of seven in hopes of signing Burnley center-back James Tarkowski, according to Eurosport.

Tarkowski was linked with Burnley’s move this summer, but the Clarets managed to fend off any interest, even rejecting a £ 30million offer.

The 28-year-old defender still has 18 months on his current contract and has so far rejected any advances to extend his stay at Turf Moor.

Along with West Ham and Leicester, Eurosport also believe a number of upper half clubs are keen to beef up their defense as well.

Burnley’s hopes of keeping Tarkowski appear to hinge on a possible takeover, which could see him improve his salary.

Tarkowski has been capped three times by England and currently earns around £ 50,000 a week.
