Jules Kounde is reportedly furious at Sevilla for blocking his path to Chelsea, and the defender is also said to ignore calls from his coach Julen Lopetegui and the club’s sporting director Monchi.
The Champions League champs wanted to sign the Frenchman as a substitute for Kurt Zouma after his transfer to West Ham. In fact, they told Sevilla that they were willing to pay £ 47 million to sign the talented center-back in the final days of the transfer window.
However, Monchi was very clear during a press conference earlier this week that Chelsea he would have to pay the player’s full release clause to secure a deal.
That led the Blues to walk away from the negotiations after deciding not to fork out the full £ 68 million.
Kounde He was left out of the Sevilla team traveling to Elche last weekend before his possible change at Stamford Bridge, as they felt he was not in the right frame of mind to play.
This is understood to have frustrated Kounde, who then waited for the call from Chelsea to come through.
Now reports have emerged in Spain claiming that Kounde is completely ignoring Sevilla out of fury over the entire fiasco.
The center-back played for France on Wednesday night and saw a direct red card for a tackle on Sead Kolasinac in a 1-1 draw with Bosnia.

Chelsea said they made a transfer mistake
Sky Sports expert Paul Merson has suggested that Chelsea made a mistake by allowing a first-team player to leave in August.
The Blues had a clear outing during the summer transfer window, allowing the likes of Tammy Abraham, Fikayo Tomori and Victor Moses to leave. Davide Zappacosta was also sold to Atalanta, while Olivier Giroud and Tiemoue Bakayoko joined AC Milan.
One of his biggest sales involved French center-back Kurt Zouma. He signed for David Moyes’ West Ham in an offer worth £ 29.8 million.
However, Merson believes Chelsea could face problems later as a result of the 26-year-old’s departure.
«Let go of Zouma and don’t bring anyone, especially when they play three in the back [is a mistake]”Merson said.
«You are going to call when [Reece] James will have to play as one of the three, which is more of a winger, for me.
“They have coverage, but if those players had to play nine, ten, 11 or 12 games during the season, all one hit at that position, it will be much more difficult.
«For me, I think Zouma’s, surely they would have let him go by force of getting [Jules] Kounde in? Otherwise, they think that [Trevoh] Chalobah will be good and I think it will be good. I think we will miss Zouma, I think we will miss him.
