A week after winning the CAN 2021 final with Senegal, Edouard Mendy obtains a new coronation. This time with his club Chelsea.
Leaving Senegal in the middle of last week, the Lions goalkeeper joined his teammates in Abu Dhabi for the Club World Cup. Mendy was even started on Saturday in the final that the Blues won against the Brazilians of Palmeiras in extra time (2-1), while the score remained at 1-1 after regulation time. A first for Thomas Tuchel’s team.
These last few months seem to smile for Edouard Mendy who thus won his third trophy with Chelsea, after the Champions League and the European Super Cup. If we add the CAN 2021, we can say that the Senegalese porter cannot ask for better for his career.
