In the fight Senegal vs Holland, Cheikhou Kouyate hit his penis and then injured. He was carried off the field on a stretcher. Fans are now worried about his condition.
Interestingly, this anxiety has overwhelmed Nottingham Forest fans. The English club have been defending Kouyate since last summer and the 32-year-old footballer appears to have captured the attention of the club’s fans.
With Cheikhou Kouyate off the pitch in the 73rd minute of the Senegal v Netherlands match, Nottingham Forest fans were quick to raise concerns that he would eventually return to the club with injury.
Nottingham Forest fans are worried about Kouyate’s condition
“We hope Kouyate is well. He has been of such quality to us over the past few weeks, it would be a shame if he is injured and out for a long time,” wrote a supporter quoted by NottinghamPost.com.
Similar concerns were also felt by other Forest fans. “Big Cheik has been stretchered off. I hope he’s not as bad as he looks, for his sake and for Forest’s sake. (He IS) a key player.”
Cheikhou Kouyate’s high rating by Nottingham Forest fans even made one of them believe that “Netherlands only scored a goal because Kouyate was out”.

Indeed, before Kouyate was retired, Senegal were still playing against the Netherlands. After about 10 minutes Kouyate left the field, only then did the Netherlands score their first goal in a 2-0 win.
Cheikhou Kouyate was replaced after an incident in a fight for the ball with Dutch midfielder Frenkie De Jong. In that incident, Kouyate, who was jumping, was hit by De Jong’s hand in the genital area.
After being hit by that blow, Cheikhou Kouyate lay on the field until he was finally stretchered off. There are also allegations that Kouyate also fell with his feet out of position after his penis was hit by De Jong.
