Chef’Special big winner of 3FM Awards

Chef’Special is the big winner of the 3FM Awards 2021. The Haarlem band received the prize for the best album for Unfold and also won the prize in the category Best Group.

“We put our soul into the album and the story didn’t feel finished yet, because we haven’t been able to play it live yet. This award feels like a great recognition and we are all very grateful for that,” said singer Joshua Nolet his acceptance speech. “We’re coming through this, light at the end of the tunnel, love at the end of the tunnel.”

Froukje won the prize for 3FM Talent. She was presented with the prize by one of her predecessors, the band Kensington. According to the voters, the best artist was Eefje de Visser.

Fast and Maan got their number Stay sleeping the award in the category Best Collaboration.

Fieldlab-evenement

The presentation took place in TivoliVredenburg in Utrecht and was one of the Fieldlab trial events with an audience. A thousand people were allowed in, who first had to take a corona test.

There were performances by Son Mieux and The Vices. There were also performances that were previously recorded, by award-winners Chef’Special with the Metropole Orkest and Froukje, Di-rect, Krezip and Nana Adjoa.
