The application deadline for the preliminary decision of the German ESC “Chefsache ESC 2025 – Who will sing for Germany?” has come to an end. The organizers are enthusiastic – 3,281 artists and bands applied.
The answer is shocking: For the opening round of the German ESC “Chefsache ESC 2025 – Who sings for Deutschland?” 3,281 artists and bands applied. As the responsible broadcasters announced on Friday, the deadline to apply for the show co-hosted by Stefan Raab (58), ARD and RTL ended on Thursday (November 28).the last time it happened was in 2010.
The list of candidates is diverse: everything from established artists with impressive careers to promising newcomers is included. 1,198 musicians even submitted their own songs. The oldest candidate has an amazing life experience of 83 years. About 20 percent of applications come from bands.
Uncertain: The organizers received two requests in the traditional way by mail.
