Chef Song Hoon opened up about the hardships of raising children while traveling between Korea and the United States every three weeks.
In the pre-released video of Channel A’s ‘Oh Eun-young’s Golden Counseling Center’ released on the 27th, Chef Song Hoon, who has been married for 17 years and has two sons aged 13 and 10, appeared and confessed his concerns.
Song Hoon said, “There are times when the situation itself is difficult. Isn’t it a double life? My children are in the United States, so I spend three weeks in the United States and three weeks in Korea.”
He continued, “I teach children’s studies in the United States for three weeks. I go and prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I spend time with my family for three weeks, and then come to Korea to manage the broadcasting schedule and store.”
The participants expressed regret, saying, “It must be so difficult.” Song Hoon confessed, “It may be a waste of time, but I can’t neglect my family and work. Is this right? What am I doing? There’s a slight disconnect. I feel like I’m becoming a dented egg stuck between sandwiches.”
Dr. Eunyoung Oh asked, “How long have you been living like this?” Song Hoon said, “It’s been more than half a year. It’s been almost two years since (the children) went to the United States.”

He continued, “I was so busy being a father that I rarely played with my children and never had a meal with my wife. My daily routine was to go out in the morning and come back early in the morning. I didn’t even have time to see my children.” I told you why.
Jung Hyung-don expressed his concern, saying, “I don’t think my body will be able to withstand it. I’m not old enough. Unlike before, I’m at an age where I need to pay attention to my health, but I don’t think my body will be able to withstand it.”
Song Hoon said, “I’m still a bit sleepy. It’s been a week since I returned home. Adapting to the jet lag is painful. If you go and sleep for 3-4 days and then come back and adapt for 3-4 days, your body’s balance will be broken. The balance of your five organs and six parts will be broken later. “I think it will be a problem for my health. I have a lot of gastrointestinal problems,” he said.
Song Hoon confessed, “I was seriously considering whether I should wrap everything up and go to America and become an Uber driver.” He said that he even thought about death because the life of running without rest was too much. He said, “I want to die. I thought it would be better if I died in a plane accident,” arousing regret.
