At the German Cheerleading Championships in Mülheim an der Ruhr, the Falcons, the mixed adult team of the CCH Cheerleaders of 1. FC 08 Haßloch, won the title for the first time. At the last two European Championships they took first place, but at the previous national title fights they had only finished second.
“Everything went perfectly this time. With 201.0 points, we even broke the 200 mark for the first time and thus also received the highest rating of all teams that competed in all categories,” says CCH team manager Stefanie Rocchia enthusiastically. This time the Maniacs took second place with 172.5 points, and Rising Phoenix came third with 171.0 points. “We didn’t even make a single mistake. That’s why we didn’t get any point deductions, which is called high zero,” adds the team manager, visibly proud.
17 active and five supervisors of the CCH cheerleaders went to the Ruhr area. “After our performance, we received praise and great words from many other teams and fans, and we also received a lot of messages on social media that we had performed so incredibly well. That makes my coaching colleagues Christina Kercher Franziska Frey and I incredibly proud. It was a great and successful weekend,” she reports, adding with regret that the European Championships “unfortunately will not take place this year for organizational reasons”. “Now we are treating ourselves to two training-free weeks. Meanwhile, the Fascinations, our all-girl team, are preparing for the Eurocheermasters that will take place in Magdeburg next Saturday,” Stefanie Rocchia informs. dil
