Checks at the “Malko Tarnovo” border crossing for unfair practices in organized travel

Last Sunday, an inspection was carried out at the “Malko Tarnovo” checkpoint for unfair practices in organized travel. 21 buses arriving from Turkey into the country were checked.

During the inspection, the Ministry of Tourism found that 19 buses were transporting tourists on organized tourist trips.

During the inspections, the tourists’ vouchers from two tour operators were not presented, and they will be required to present them to the Consumer Protection Commission (CCP).

It was also established that two of the checked buses were carrying persons who were traveling independently.

For these persons, the KZP will additionally require documents to prove that the trip does not form a tourist package.

An inspection was also carried out on 7 persons who presented their identification cards to the inspectors, certifying that they are legally engaged in the profession of “tour guide”.

IA “Automotive Administration” did not find any violations on the part of the carriers. Economic police also did not find any violations during the inspection.
