THE MIND OF THE PEOPLE – Meteorology Climatology and Geophysics Council (BMKG) announced that Indonesia will experience a celestial phenomenon, namely the Total Lunar Eclipse (GBT) or Super Blood Moon on May 26, 2021.
BMKG said that the Total Lunar Eclipse is quite interesting to observe and quite special because it coincides with Vesak Day in 2565.
BMKG states the location and schedule for observing a Total Lunar Eclipse or Super Blood Moon in western Indonesia at 16.46 WIB.
According to Lapan, the best location to observe a total lunar eclipse is in eastern Indonesia.
“The peak eclipse phenomenon can be observed directly without the need for optical tools at 18.46 WIB in western Indonesia, 19.46 WITA in the Central region of Indonesia, and at 20:46 WIT in the eastern region. The total lunar eclipse process begins with a penumbra eclipse which starts at 15:46:37 WIB and the last contact of the penumbra which ends the entire eclipse process at 20:51:16 WIB or for 3 hours 7 minutes including the pasial eclipse and the total eclipse.
The phases are as follows, namely starting at 15:46 WIB it is called the initial phase of the penumbra, at 16.44 WIB as the partial initial phase. 18.09 hours as the initial phase of the total. 18.14 WIB as the peak phase of the eclipse.
18:27 WIB as the final phase of the total. 19.52 WIB as the final phase of part and 20.51 WIB as the final phase of the penumbra.
