The Ministry of Health (Minsal) announced the vaccination program against COVID-19 for the week between Tuesday 20 and Sunday 25 September.

In this opportunity, The goal is to continue vaccination of the fourth dose for people 6 years of age and older who received the booster dose until May 1, 2022. Likewise, the booster injection will be applied to all people who have completed the vaccination schedule until May 29 this year.

Vaccination schedule from 20 September

Fourth dose:

  • People 6 years of age and older who received the booster dose until May 1, 2022.
  • Immunocompromised people who received the booster dose until May 29, 2022.
  • Public and private system health officials who received the booster dose until May 29, 2022.

Booster dose:

  • People 3 years of age and older who received their second or single dose by May 29, 2022.

In addition, continue vaccination of:

  • First dose for people 3 years of age and older.
  • Second dose to the population vaccinated with Sinovac, AstraZeneca and Pfizer, with at least 28 days after the first dose.
  • Pregnant women in any of its stages.

Booster dose in children and adolescents:

Children and adolescents who received the second dose by May 29, 2022:

  • Children from 3 to 4 years: Sinovac vaccine.
  • Children from 5 to 11 years: Pizer-BioNTech vaccine, pediatric use.
  • Adolescents 12 to 17 years of age: Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, for use in people 12 years of age and older.
