SOE Minister Erick Thohir said the recruitment program was deliberately carried out because he wanted the leadership in SOEs with the best talents to continue from time to time. In particular, those who have the capability, character, and good morals.
“The transformation of SOEs will certainly not succeed without the transformation of human capital. That is what is important for us to ensure our alignment with the best talents to join SOEs,” said Erick at the launch of the 2022 BUMN Joint Recruitment event some time ago.
According to him, this is necessary because SOEs have an important role in Indonesia’s future. This is because the business activities of state enterprises account for one-third of the national economic performance.
“One third of Indonesia’s economic strength is in BUMN. So we must also realize that those of us who have a career in BUMN are the best sons and daughters,” he added.
On the other hand, he said this recruitment program is important because Indonesia has a large demographic bonus, where 54 percent of Indonesia’s population is dominated by the younger generation.
