Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Xiaomi just updated the list end of support (EOS) them. This means that phones that are already on the EOS list will not get official support from Xiaomi, incl update the software and security.
This time Xiaomi has added five phones to its EOS list, all from the Redmi and Poco lines.
Taking a look at the latest EOS listing, the Chinese tech giant is ending support for Redmi 8, Redmi 8A, Redmi K30 5G, Redmi K30 and Poco X2.
The five phones above will no longer receive software support of any kind from Xiaomi GizmochinaThursday (29/12/2022)
Though many Poco X2 users are waiting for the MIUI 13 update. With the inclusion of Poco X2 in the EOS list, that hope will never come true and there are currently no plans for an update.
MIUI 13 stable is said to be tested on this phone in April 2022, although Xiaomi has not released this update due to various insect and other problems.
So, for those who want to have the latest devices that aren’t vulnerable to potential security risks, replacing HP with a newer one is the solution.
That doesn’t mean that the aforementioned phones are at risk right away, but over time they are much more vulnerable than the phones still supported by the brand.
