The Governor of Lattakia, Eng. Amer Ismail Hilal, was briefed on the site proposed by the Qardaha City Council to establish temporary housing for the affected people in the Qardaha area, and the measures taken to settle the site and start the work of installing the housing that reached the governorate.
During his tour, Governor Hilal visited the families affected by the earthquake in the shelter center at Al-Qardaha Hotel, after rehabilitating parts of it, and was briefed on their conditions and listened to their needs.
And Governor Hilal was reassured about the conditions of the families and their residence, after moving to the new center, and talked with them about the circumstances they went through in their places of residence, and the stages reached by the temporary housing project and the procedures that the governorate undertakes in coordination between governmental and private institutions to carry out the work of safety committees, and procedures related to restoration And consolidation, answering some inquiries about the mechanism of granting loans.
The governor stressed the keenness to ensure the follow-up of the educational process for children within the center, in coordination with the Directorate of Education, provided that this issue is completed by the end of the Eid Al-Fitr holiday.

Governor Hilal met with the management of the center and reviewed procedures for following up the situation of families and securing their periodic needs, after the governorate recently completed the rehabilitation and maintenance of sections of the Qardaha Hotel, in cooperation with the city council and some international organizations.
To be used as a temporary shelter in the medium term for earthquake-affected families from the Qardaha area.

The deputy head of the executive office, Eng. Firas Al-Sousi, members of the office, directors of technical services, the head of the Qardaha city council and a number of members of the provincial council participated in the tour.
