Thanks to the configurator, we can show what the best equipped version of the second generation Škoda Kodiaq looks like, the offer of which has been quietly expanded by the stronger of the pair of diesels with 142 kilowatts.
If initially only the basic diesel 2.0 TDI with front-wheel drive was available for the second edition of the Skoda Kodiaq, you can currently also reach for a more powerful variant with 142 kilowatts and four-wheel drive. But for this option in the Exclusive Selection line, you will pay at least 1,489,000 CZK, which is a significant 449,000 more than the aforementioned entry-level model in the Selection trim level. However, you get a lot of comfort and safety equipment as standard.
For the Škoda Kodiaq 2.0 TDI/142 kW 4×4 Exclusive Selection, you only have to pay extra for the red Velvet metallic finish (CZK 15,000), the third row of seats (CZK 22,000) and the range reserve, which comes to 4,900 crowns. You can therefore buy a fully equipped car for 1,530,900 CZK (without extended warranty or prepaid service). This is certainly not enough, but the prices of new cars have skyrocketed in the last four years, and a million and a half for a diesel SUV from Škoda is therefore a new reality.
For the sake of interest, we compared the Czech offer with the one in Germany. The only difference is the equipment composition. With our western neighbors, you will not find the Exclusive Selection version in the price list, only the basic Selection is sold here. However, you can eventually reach its level by choosing additional fees.
In the German configurator, we therefore ticked comparable items, including the brown leather Suite interior in Cognac design, added to this the equivalents of the packages offered in the Czech Republic, Assisted driving 2.0+, Climate, Infotainment Navi 13″, Comfort package Plus and others, and arrived at a price of 69,050 euros, or 1,707,000 CZK. In Germany, VAT on cars is 19%, while in the Czech Republic it is 21%.
