(sti) Around 3,500 boys and girls informed themselves at the 13th edition of Check In Berufswelt from 164 participating companies about the possibilities of various training courses in Krefeld, Mönchengladbach, in the district of Viersen and in the Rhein-Kreis Neuss. That was about 50 percent more than during the Corona period, when only virtual contacts were allowed or desired.

The check-in organizers had come up with something new for companies that could not or did not want to open their doors again. Under the motto “Check In Open Air”, these training companies were able to introduce themselves to the students with their offers under a pavilion roof.

Jürgen Steinmetz, General Manager of the IHK Mittlerer Niederrhein, was satisfied with the good response and was particularly pleased that the event could now take place in person again. “We have picked up the number of visitors from before the Corona period and now hope that the new contacts will result in internships and training. Because it remains our goal to cover the need for skilled workers”.

The obligatory honoring and awarding of the schools that have made a special commitment to the Check In professional world will be held by the patrons after the summer holidays. In 2023, the campaign for schoolchildren will open company doors again in the second half of May.
