Chechen Troops Claim Control of Ukraine’s Mariupol, Kadyrov Comes

Leader Chechen, Ramzan Kadyrovvisited Mariupol in Ukraine after his troops claimed to have helped the Russian army take control of the city amid the ongoing invasion.

“Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov is in Mariupol to boost our team’s fighting spirit,” Chechen Political Minister Akhmed Dudayev told RIA quoted AFPTuesday (29/3).

Chechnya is an autonomous region in Russia. Some Chechen troops have also joined the Russian army to help launch its invasion of Ukraine.

Russian television media reported that Kadyrov met with the alleged Lieutenant General Andrei Mordvichev. Mordvichev is one of the Russian generals that Ukraine claims have died in the fighting there.

Dudayev said Kadyrov was involved in a meeting between Mordvichev and other Russian commanders.

“Kadyrov will help correct and finalize the strategy for further action in the next few days in order to liberate Mariupol,” he added.

Meanwhile, Kadyrov said he would try to take control of the city of Mariupol as quickly as possible.

“Russian soldiers came building after building to free Mariupol from the Nazi criminal gangs,” he wrote on Telegram.

According to him, the troops he has are always in a burning spirit as usual.

“No wind or heavy fire from caliber weapons will destroy their will to win. In no time, Mariupol will be completely under control,” Kadyrov stressed.

Kadyrov himself has received the rank of Lieutenant General from Russian President, Vladimir Putin. Previously, he held the rank of Major General and formally served in the National Guard.

Prior to becoming Putin’s allies, Kadyrov and his forces were a rebel group in Russia that opposed the government.

Many refer to the Chenchen leader as a puppet of Russia. Judging from history, this cannot be separated from the tactics of the President of Russia, Vladmir Putin, who was still prime minister at that time to control the country.

He takes advantage of groups that hate other groups who are considered too Arab or Wahhabi. Since then, Putin has managed to control Chechens.
