Cheating Russia, Zelensky Keeps Details of US Military Aid

According to Zelensky, Russia still hopes for Ukraine as it did in 2014, when they could seize Crimea without a fight.

However, Zelensky insists that Ukraine today is different from eight years ago. The defense is now much stronger.

He also said that it was not yet time for Ukraine to reveal its negotiating strategy with Russia.

Zelensky did not reveal the assistance provided by the US. However, Biden previously announced that he would provide new security assistance to Ukraine worth US$800 million or around Rp11 trillion, Wednesday (16/3).

One of the items included in the assistance package is a Switchblade drone or commonly called a kamikaze drone. This drone has the ability to attack targets from afar and has high explosive power.

Some time ago, Biden also approved the aid of additional military equipment worth US$200 million or around Rp. 2.8 trillion.

On February 26, the US has also provided assistance to Ukraine worth US$350 million or around Rp. 5 trillion.

The US is also noted to have provided more than 600 Stinger missiles, 2,600 Javelin anti-tank systems, radar systems, helicopters, grenade launchers, weapons, ammunition, and other equipment in 2021.
