Jakarta, CNN Indonesia —
Technology manufacturer Apple rumored to be released iPhone 5G cheapest, which will launch in early 2022. The phone is said to use a refurbished A14 Bionic chip, much like the iPhone 12 chip.
According to the first published report by Digitimes Asia, smartphone The new one is a continuation of the iPhone SE generation, namely the iPhone SE 3.
Apple originally released the iPhone SE in March 2016 as an entry-level iPhone to replace the iPhone 5S, which was released three years earlier. Now that version is expected to be an entry-level 5G phone.
The allegation is considered in line with a report previously released by analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who said that Apple plans to launch a new version of the entry-level iPhone.
According to Digitimes Asia, the order for this new device will create a new business from so-called chip probe specialists.
The chip probe is part of the quality testing process, and one of the publication’s sources says that the work will be carried out by Xintec.
Xintec is a subsidiary of Apple chip manufacturer TSMC. The Xintec subsidiary is a component supplier for the iPhone SE, as well as for the newer models.
Quoted Apple Insider, Digitimes is considered to have a strong reputation for the information provided by the source.
On the other hand, Ming-Chi Kuo hopes that the updated iPhone SE will have the same size as the previous generation, but with the addition of 5G and the latest A-series processors.
Kuo further expects the new iPhone SE to be the lowest-cost 5G iPhone ever made, as reports say Mac Rumors.
According to DigiTimes and Kuo, the iPhone SE is the only iPhone in Apple’s current lineup to feature a Touch ID sensor and a Home Button. That design is rumored to continue with the iPhone SE 3 next year.
