Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Realme 8 5G officially landed in Indonesia. This cellphone, which is claimed to be the 5G smartphone in Indonesia, is sold starting at IDR 3 million.
For the 8GB and 128GB RAM variants, this cellphone is priced at IDR 3,199,000. Realme 8 5G will be available throughout Indonesia starting June 26, 2021.
Realme also opened a flash sale program for this variant on June 16, 2021 at 19.00 WIB at a price of Rp. 2,999,000. Available on Lazada, Akulaku, and realme.com.
“Young people are actively monitoring the progress of 5G and all young people want a powerful 5G smartphone at the most affordable price,” said Marketing Director of Realme Indonesia, Palson Yi at the launch of Realme 8 5G and AIoT, Wednesday (16/6/2021).
The Realme 8 5G has a 6.5-inch FDH+ display. The screen ratio is 90.5% and has been supported by a 90Hz refresh rate.
This cellphone has a thin design that measures 8.5mm, and weighs 185 grams.
On the front there is a single 16MP lens. While three cameras are pinned on the back of the phone, namely a 48MP wide lens, then a 2MP macro and 2MP for a depth lens.
The performance of the Realme 8 5G is supported by the MediaTek MT6833 Dimensity 700 5G chipset. This chipset has a 7nm fabrication.
“Providing a much more efficient experience compared to 8nm processors,” said Product Manager of Realme Indonesia, Vasco Rombot.
In addition, there is also a super power saving mode to use HP more efficiently. With a 5% battery, he claims he can still do 2 hours of calling, almost 35 hours of standby mode, and almost 6 hours of playing music.
He said that the Realme 8 5G also features an NFC scanner specifically for the Indonesian market. The fingerprint sensor is embedded on the side of the phone.
The Realme 8 5G has a 5000mAh battery. The battery also supports 18W fast charging.
There are two color choices on this latest Realme cellphone, namely Supersonic Blue and Supersonic Black.
