Cheap environmentally friendly cars or LCGC (Low Cost Green Car) get relaxation from the government. Until the end of the year this car is still tax free on luxury goods.
Since 2013 LCGC cars have actually been free from PPnBM obligations. However, after the issuance of Government Regulation (PP) Number 74 of 2021 concerning Amendments to Government Regulation Number 73 of 2019, LCGC cars are no longer special and subject to a 3% tax. The rule is said to be effective October 16.
But before the regulation was implemented by LCGC car manufacturers in the country, the government actually gave incentives to LCGC cars in the form of PPnBM DTP (Government borne) the same as Toyota Avanza et al. This relaxation will last until December 2021.
The regulation is contained in a copy of the Decree of the Minister of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia Number 1737 of 2021 concerning Motorized Vehicles With Sales Tax on Luxury Goods on the Delivery of Taxable Goods Classified as Luxury Borne by the Government for Fiscal Year 2021. In this regulation, LCGC cars are included in the list of PPnBM recipients. DTP.
The regulation states that the criteria for receiving PPnBM DTP cars must meet local purchase requirements, which include the fulfillment of the use of components originating from domestic production, which are utilized in production activities of at least 60%. In that rule, several LCGC cars are included in the list.
Automatically some manufacturers still survive alias do not raise prices. The price is affordable from other models, making LCGC cars target the first car owners, or people who switch from motorcycles. LCGC options currently vary, from 5 passengers to 7 passengers. While the transmission offered on the LCGC car is also complete, either manual or automatic.
Currently, various manufacturers have LCGC mainstay line ups to win the hearts of the Indonesian people. The price of LCGC cars has indeed increased from year to year. Currently, it is not up to Rp. 180 million, only for Low MPV cars.
The cheapest, the lowest type Daihatsu Ayla now costs Rp. 103.3 million. While the highest model is the Honda Brio Satya CVT Rp. 175.4 million. Meanwhile, Suzuki, which is known to be injecting the Suzuki Karimun Wagon R into death, is seen still marketing the model on its website.
