Young people, how is the intensity of your interaction with your friends? Is it good or is it rare?
Recently, study conducted by the University of Kansas reveals that chat with one person Friend just once a day whether it’s chatting, joking, or simply telling them you think of them can improve feelings happyloh.
Interestingly, it can also lower the level of stress you feel at the end of the day. As social beings, Kawula Muda definitely need the presence of other people to complement each other and establish social interactions to establish togetherness, such as chatting with friends.
This is what the researchers wanted to prove later.publish journal entitled Quality Conversation Can Increase Daily Well-Being. In the journal, the researchers define the quality of communication or chatting in the context of relationships.
Previous research never revealed that chatting and telling stories with others can relieve our feelings and reduce emotional and physical stress, and can even strengthen the immune system. However, in this study, the researchers showed that there are many other ways we can bond with someone.
The researchers then found that there are seven ways other than chatting to get happiness in a simple way, namely asking how are you, having a weighty chat or deep talk, joking, showing concern, listening to other people’s stories, giving opinions, and also sincere compliments.
900 People Prove Chatting With Friends Makes You Happy
This study involved 900 people to perform one of the seven forms of communication above in one day. Then, they reported back at night how stressed, connected, anxious, well-being, loneliness and the quality of their day felt.
The researchers then noticed that the 900 people felt happier after interacting with other people, regardless of form. Two of the most widely reported benefits, namely growing a sense of closeness and reducing stress.
So it doesn’t really matter what kind of conversation a person chooses to have, but chatting or ‘accidentally’ reaching out to a friend is most important.
“This means the more you listen to your friends, the more you show you care, the more you take the time to respect other people’s opinions, the better you will feel in the end,” said one of the researchers, Jeffrey Hall.
Interestingly, the participants also felt that their days were more enjoyable because they often chatted with their friends, the Kawula Muda. Conversing in person is believed to provide many benefits compared to online interactions.
Even so, Jeffery also revealed telephone chat just as good as communicating face to face. Not only that, the benefits of SMS, direct message, and chatter on social media for mental health is less pronounced. But, written interaction is better than none.
Young people, it turns out that chatting with friends every day not only makes you happy, but is also beneficial for one’s mental health. Really cool, huh!
